4-Step Chard with Broccolini, Avocado & Rice

  • 1 tbsp coconut oil

  • 1 bundle broccolini, chopped

  • 1 red onion, halved and sliced

  • 1 bundle Swiss chard, stems and leaves separated

  • 1 tbsp chopped ginger

  • Cumin

  • Caraway

  • Avocado, sliced


  1. Melt coconut oil, add chopped broccolini, salt & pepper.

  2. Add red onion and ginger, cook until onion and broccolini begin to brown.

  3. Add chard stems, cumin, and caraway seed. Cook until stems begin to soften, then add chard leaves.

  4. Cover to steam, stirring regularly until leaves are slightly tender. Remove from heat, serve with sliced avocado and rice. Salt & pepper to taste.
